Project DIVISARANA

In the span of 5 years (2017 - 2021), FAIRMED implemented activities for the prevention and control of leprosy in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Anti Leprosy Campaign (ALC), and the Regional Directorate of Health Services (RDHS), in Polonnaruwa District.

 

During our journey in strengthening the health system, in Polonnaruwa, helped us in understanding the need for a Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programme for Persons with Disabilities.

 

Following the completion of the project by end of 2021, the CBR project ‘Divisarana’ continued with a new facelift. Currently, the project is being implemented in Thamankaduwa, Hingurakgoda, Lankapura, and Welikanda Divisional Secretary areas.
